  1. Always deliver what you promise in a timely and professional manner, and you will earn your customers trust over time. If you fail to deliver what you promise, it won’t be long before you no longer have a business.
  2. Always ask yourself if your content is helping your target audience. If the answer is yes, follow-up with your audience and encourage them to share your content with colleagues and friends who may also find your content useful. When you have established a reputation of delivering value, this call to action should be easy. It’s a favor for a favor.
  3. Be willing to give away a great product or service for free. Once you have provided people with something that they can use and apply to their personal success, it’s much easier to sell them on an even better product or service later. You want your target audience to know you have their best interest in mind and offering them something of value for free is a great way to earn new business.
  4. Even when you’re giving away free advice and offering people free services, you must be clear that you are in the business of making money. Once you have given a potential customer their free product or service don’t hesitate to let them know how they can do business with you.
  5. Never stop providing value and never be afraid to share things you know you could sell. In general, people say no seven times before they make a decision to buy so you must be consistent and persistent in your approach. If you have built up that trust and social capital with your potential client, when they do decide to buy I guarantee that they have your business on their mind when they make that purchase.
  6. Listen to your audience at all times and seek out opportunities to help them. Remember without an intimate knowledge of their needs you have no sustainable way to keep your business relevant.
  7. Finally, have a call to action on everything you do. This shows leadership and it allows you to guide your target audience in the right direction. In your emails, YouTube videos and blog posts always have a link to your sales page. Calls to action are imperative to sustain longevity in the business.
